ShowersI like showers. I love to be clean. The first shower after Glastonbury was probably the best I’ve ever had. I like the renewed sense of smell afterwards, I always go around the house seeing what the rooms smell like. It lasts about half an hour, then the smells become indistinct and ever so slowly I start to sweat and I stop feeling clean and it’s all over until the next day. I bet there’s somewhere in the world where it just rains all the time, a lukewarm rain, and they all walk around naked and smell things. Those guys have it sussed out. Sep. 21, 2009
The Triumphant ReturnWell, the summer hiatus is over. Time to shoot the shit once more. I didn’t intend to not write a single thing over summer, but not a single thing came to mind so a single word I did not write. It’s a shame really, some interesting things happened after all, though my retelling of them would doubtless render them duller than a lump of corduroy. I attented Glastonbury Festival 2009, where I witnessed, among others, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, with my own ears and eyes and in some small part my genitals. I really shouldn’t combine “some small part” and “my genitals” in the same sentence. I have also taken up the cause of learning that rarest of talents, the playing of the guitar. Admittedly every dog and their uncle can play guitar, but before I’m through if I can’t play better than your dogs uncle then I’m a monkeys uncle. The only work I could get over summer was the delivery of what must collectively have been at least a tonne of ikea catalogues, the least said about which the better. I wonder how many interesting blog posts I have missed over these few months. Probably even several. At any rate, I will try to resume posting erratically. My tumblarity has been scraping against rock bottom for so long that any followers I had have probably been crushed against it and brutally killed by now. All that’s left is the skin of their fingertips, and not even enough to make shoes for mice. So it goes. Jul. 17, 2009
![]() I have some spyware on my computer that always redirects me from google to some other vaguely related site or search engine. Today it turned up this. It is beginning to make assumptions about me. Jul. 3, 2009
